Living is the goal, yet dying is what we know,
So in the end, is the goal life itself, or who you are, oneself?
Life tries to force us to accept it, yet alot of us strive to reject this.

Life is what we make it,
Yet we look back at a life less lived,
A world of eyes to perceive this,
Yet all we do is exist

I know they say the things I speak of are not legit,
Yet that's how I feel, what else is there to admit?
Didn't they say that life is what we make it?
Yet my feelings are not what they take in.

I try to do good, yet rarely people give back.
In a world of goodness, how can there be people with such lack?
I do exude a good sense of character,
It seems the world isn't for someone like me; I feel I wouldn't even matter.

I know, I understand goodness is in virtue,
But I wish everyone had the same view.
I won’t hate them, I hate me—

A mix of love and validation,
I have to accept this uneven situation.

Maybe im just scared of what it costs.
In the quiet, the truth might make me feel less lost,
It may be harder than what I have experienced,
But what is life without resilience
