Fog On The Pond

Leaves are changing colors Like I am changing too The trees must be over them Like I am over you. The leaves will make way For new ones to grow I need that for myself So it is time to let you go. There's fog on the pond Fall's in the air Leaves on the ground Trees will soon be bare Like you, the heat of summer Has come and gone But I'm comforted by The fog on the pond. I sit by the fire In the chilled Autumn eve. I reflect on those nights When you were here with me. But I can see in the flame Now that we're through That being alone is better Than feeling lonely with you. As I lay in bed I cant wait for dawn The blankets I'm under Remind me of fog on the pond...
