Before the Doves Forgot to Fly
#KindergartenFestival ✍ I created this song for the #KindergartenFestival, and I have to thank #Lucilius for the inspiration behind it. I wrote these lyrics years ago, and today, I’m beyond happy to finally bring them to life as a song and share it on Suno. The artwork was inspired by Childhood Illusions by #Lucilius, his song hit me hard, so I wanted to create something that captures the joy and innocence of childhood. I hope this song takes you back, even for just 3 minutes, to those carefree days when life was simpler and happiness came easy. Enjoy! /AMIX❤ ---------------------- © Copyright 2025 - @AMIX 🎵 Original lyrics by AMIX --------------------------------- See the stars fade in your eyes, No breath left in my chest tonight. The window still holds every tear, Echoes of worries from all those years. Your voice, a poet’s silent rhyme, Your touch, a song that heals in time. Without you, I’m a melody lost, Drifting away like autumn frost. I trace your name on falling leaves, Send my wishes with the evening breeze. I hear your laughter in the rain, But the world won’t bring you back again… Oh, take me back, when the world was wide, When love was simple, pure, and kind. When we ran through fields without a care, Before we knew life wasn’t fair. Before the doves forgot to fly… Before the doves forgot to fly… Oh, childhood days, when the earth would wait, We planted dreams in every space. No fear, no weight, just golden skies, Before we learned that hearts can break… I trace your name on falling leaves, Send my wishes with the evening breeze. I hear your laughter in the rain, But the world won’t bring you back again… Oh, take me back, when the world was wide, When love was simple, pure, and kind. When we ran through fields without a care, Before we knew life wasn’t fair. Before the doves forgot to fly… Before the doves forgot to fly… Close your eyes… Do you hear it? The wind still sings our lullabies… Do you feel it? The fireflies… They’re fading… fading… So I’ll wait where the rain still falls, Trace your name upon the walls. Maybe time will lead you home… Before the doves forgot to fly.
