Remember
Lyrics by Steven R. Drennon, ©️ 1977 - 2025 Please check out my YouTube channel if you get a chance: https://www.youtube.com/@firstep3 [Instrumental Intro] [Verse 1] I once thought that we Would love on, endlessly. I thought our love could only grow, But now I’ve come to know That no love is safe from harm. There are no helpful charms. [Pre-Chorus] There’s nothing to do to comfort such sorrow, Except smile and hope for a better tomorrow. [Chorus] Remember the love that you once had. Remember the good. Remember the bad. Remember that day when she said goodbye, And then you’ll remember how it made you cry. [Instrumental Interlude] [Verse 2] In every love there comes a time When words in your poems no longer rhyme. Each day some lover drifts away From a place they said they’d always stay. You’ll see that you’re slowly drifting apart, And realize that it’s breaking your heart. [Instrumental Interlude] [Chorus] Remember the love that you once had. Remember the good. Remember the bad. Remember that day when she said goodbye, And then you’ll remember how it made you cry. [Instrumental Outro]

Okay, I tried at least six different country versions for this, but couldn't find anything at all that worked for me. I switched over to use a completely different style, and I was blown away by the fact that it actually sounds like my own voice! Kinda scary, but kinda cool, but either way, I really liked it. I hope everyone else does too.
