The rain has freshened my garden Hydrating my plants as it falls Soaking the soil as it cascades Flowing in intermittent squalls My plants Just sit there drinking Soaking up the rain While gentle rain refreshes Filling their souls again The worms are no doubt busy As they burrow into the soil Silently they do their thing As they continue to toil Nature is working together Rain and worms doing their part Creating wonder in the garden And flowers that brighten our heart I love this time in the garden When the sun shines after the rain The garden is fresh and full of life And birds are singing again.
