Chemistry 101: Ionic Bonding
Chemistry by Alikan. In an ionic compound there are strong electrostatic forces of attraction between oppositely charged ions... Atoms bond and create a force, Ionic ties are todays main course, Positive and negative in a dance, Locked in place, each other they enhance. Metals and non-metals collide, Electrons jump, they won't hide, Transfer complete, ions form, Ionic compounds are born. Opposites attract, this we all know, Strong connections, what these compounds show. Ionic bonds, so tight and strong, High melting points, they last so long, Under heat, they stand their ground, Solid structural strength, all around. A Crystal lattice, a neat array, Holding together, come what may, Much Energy needed to break this apart, High melting points, these bonds impart. Opposites attract, this we all know, Strong connections, what these compounds show. Ionic bonds, so tight and strong, High melting points, they last so long, Under heat, they stand their ground, Solid structural strength, all around. Electrostatic forces, pulling tight, Keeps them together, day and night, Temperature rises, but they hold, Ionic substances, brave and bold. sodium and chlorine, it's sodium chloride! magnesium and oxygen, it's magnesium oxide! calcium and two chlorine atoms, make calcium chloride!! two lithium atoms and an oxygen, make lithium oxide!! Opposites attract, this we all know, Strong connections, what these compounds show. Ionic bonds, so tight and strong, High melting points, they last so long, Under heat, they stand their ground, Solid structural strength, all around. Positive ions lose electrons, from shells less than half filled, Negative ions gain, in shells where space is filled, Metals give, non-metals receive, that's nature's chemical deal, Negative ions are mostly non-metals, these bonds are for real. When solid, ions can't roam, Stuck in place, like a stone, But melt them down, they move free, Conducting electricity, naturally. Molten state, ions flow, Electric currents, they now show. Ionic bonds, so tight and strong, High melting points, they last so long, Under heat, they stand their ground, Solid structural strength, all around. Ionic compounds dissociate in waters' embrace, Ions free to move, migrate to a new place, Conducting electricity, In water, they do this with ease, Dissolving is much simpler than a molten recipe! Ionic compounds, hard and bright, Crystals colorful, a stunning sight, Though they're strong, they're brittle too, A tap can break their structured view. Opposites attract, this we all know, Strong connections, what these compounds show. Ionic bonds, so tight and strong, High melting points, they last so long, Under heat, they stand their ground, Solid structural strength, all around.

Do you have any tips for beginners who also want to create songs about chemistry?

Topic wise: Pick a topic in chemistry - and write down the key facts you need to get across as short bullet points, Song wise: Get the basic math right -> try to keep it under 12 syllables per line and 4 lines per section / stanza - and Suno should have a really easy time! (obviously you can add more instructions in to try and bend the output to be the way you want it)

you should become a teacher, id take your course lol

I have given a few lessons in chemistry at 'Highschool' level actually! - But you should check out my friends website / yt - mr barnes teaches chemistry - We studied chem together at university, but I moved onto other things, and he is actually a full time science teacher.
