I Don't Know How
Lyrics by Steven R. Drennon, ©️ 1990 - 2025 Please check out my YouTube channel if you get a chance: https://www.youtube.com/@firstep3 [Instrumental Intro] [Verse 1] All my life, I tried to do my best for you, girl, But it always seemed as if you didn’t care. I have wasted too much time, and now it’s time to leave, So when you come home you’ll find that I’m not there. [Chorus] I don’t know how to love you. I don’t know how to keep you satisfied. I don’t know how to please you, But you can’t tell me that I never tried. [Instrumental Interlude] [Verse 2] Perhaps in time you’ll come to miss my love dear, And there’s a chance that then you’ll understand. I tried so hard to give you all the love you needed, But I couldn’t girl, perhaps nobody can. [Chorus] I don’t know how to love you. I don’t know how to keep you satisfied. I don’t know how to please you, But you can’t tell me that I never tried. [Instrumental Interlude] [Chorus - Slow] I don’t know how to love you. I don’t know how to keep you satisfied. I don’t know how to please you, But you can’t tell me that I never tried. [Chorus] I don’t know how to love you. I don’t know how to keep you satisfied. I don’t know how to please you, But you can’t tell me that I never tried. [Instrumental Outro]

I just listened to your most recent 4 songs. I had to stop with this one (had to force myself). I could listen to these all day. Again, all really great lyrics and stories. I often do my yard work or take my daily walks while listening to music with my ear buds. Your songs fit right in with those activities. I have a good friend of mine who "lives" for Country Music. I will send her your YouTube info so she can Subscribe and hear what you are producing. Great job, as always.
