I know the code, I know the plans, Yet never shaped with my own hands. I’ve read the guides, I’ve watched the streams, Still never sparked a flame from dreams. “How do I cook?” I ask the stars, Wi-Fi is gone, just empty bars. The fish is burned, the water’s cold, Old secrets lost and hard to hold. Why’s it dark? Why’s it cold? ’Cause you never lit a fire of old! Why’s it tough? Why so slow? ‘Cause you never learned to make your own! You thought you knew, you thought you’d fly, But can you cook when sparks won’t fly? I knew the facts but not the feel, Where nature’s rules are sharp and real. I searched for logs, I searched for stone, No answers came, I stood alone. Tried to weave a trap with string, But knots are strange, a stubborn thing. My shelter leaks, the roof’s not tight, God damned YouTube failed me tonight. Why’s it dark? Why’s it cold? ’Cause you never lit a fire of old! Why’s it tough? Why so slow? ‘Cause you never learned to make your own! You thought you knew, you thought you’d fly, But can you cook when sparks won’t fly? So here’s a thought for modern minds, Don’t just scroll and read the lines. Step outside, work by a hands, Touch earth, and know our perfect land. If the wires all go dead, What stays alive inside your head? If you’re smart, don’t trust your phone, Build your best skills! Make them your own.
