Lyrics by Steven R. Drennon, ©️ 1982 - 2025 Please check out my YouTube channel if you get a chance: https://www.youtube.com/@firstep3 [Verse 1] The promises that we once made Before the moon put us to sleep Of sharing everlasting love Were empty lies we couldn’t keep. [Verse 2] I promised I would stay with you No matter what my life should bring, But passion forced those words from me, And now they don’t mean anything. [Chorus] Those midnight promises are now long gone, Just whispered words that now seem wrong. In time, I’m sure those memories will fade Like midnight promises that we once made. [Verse 3] You promised I would have your love, But every time I feel your touch I know that you still care for him, And losing him would be too much. [Verse 4] The promises that we both made As passion filled the lonely night, Tomorrow will be only dreams Of love which fades once gone from sight. [Chorus] Those midnight promises are now long gone, Just whispered words that now seem wrong. In time, I’m sure those memories will fade Like midnight promises that we once made. [Instrumental Interlude] [Chorus] Those

Dude.... you're killing me with these songs. Definitely in a good way. I know you download them to MP3 or WAV for your YouTube videos. But have you considered recording them to CD? Easy to do with your computer, including printing the jewel case and CD stick on prints (AVERY). Put 10 to 12 per CD and you probably have 4 or 5 ready to share with family and friends right away.

Thank you so much! I am actually in the process of getting new masters made for ten songs that I will be using for the first "album". Once I have them mastered I'll be uploading them to Spotify and other places. Check out my playlist "Not Over Yet" for a preview. I hope to add a new album each week. That's a great idea on making the CDs. I've actually done that in the past, but it's been a while.
