Heterochromia

[Intro] (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh-oh heterochromia) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh-oh oh-oh) [Verse 1] I’m drawn to amber’s beauty, the way it burns as if it were fire. It shimmers in all shades of orange, yellow and red, it makes my soul brighter. I could try to take over the amber mining quarries, I could try. But I don't need it now, because I have you by my side. [Short Instrumental interlude] [Verse 2] I am drawn to the seas, to their salty and raging tranquility. Their washing away waves expose my soul to its own inner fragility. I could try to conquer all the seas and all the oceans, I could try. But I don't need it now, because I have you by my side. [Hook] I love the way you look at the world. You can see both its warmth and its cold. To glance away would make me feel sad, Because you have… (Because you have...) [Chorus] Heterochromia... I bask in the rays of your little sun. I hear a symphonia... A Whirlpool, this light’s closest neighbour, a mystery spun. Don't look away, Hold up my gaze, Let me get lost in your double maze. Cause your heterochromia... Is the most beautiful window to the soul. [Instrumental interlude] (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh-oh heterochromia) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh-oh oh-oh) [Verse 3] I'm drawn to distant galaxies where the stars are ablaze with cosmic flames. From hot supernovas to frozen voids, a vastness that begs for stargaze. I could try to plot a course to every distant star, I could try, But I don't need it now, because I have you by my side. [Instrumental interlude] (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh-oh heterochromia) (Oh-oh oh-oh-oh-oh) (Oh-oh-oh oh-oh) [Bridge] I’m drawn to amber’s beauty, the way it burns as if it were fire. I am drawn to the seas, to their salty and raging tranquility. Your unity of opposites is my ideal desire. And your view of the world is a unique and amazing ability. [Pre-chorus] I love the way you look at the world. You can see both its warmth and its cold. To glance away would make me feel sad, Because you have… (Because you have...) [Chorus] Heterochromia! I bask in the rays of your little sun. I hear a symphonia! A Whirlpool, this light’s closest neighbour, a mystery spun. Don't look away! Hold up my gaze! Let me get lost in your double maze! Cause your heterochromia... Is the most beautiful window to the soul. [Outro] (Heterochromia...) (Your Heterochromia...) (Oh-oh-oh oh-oh) (Heterochromia...) (Your Heterochromia...) [End] ===================== 📝✍️📝 Oh, Heterochromia... I don’t know why, but I love heterochromia. Every time I come across a person with this interesting mutation, I find it hard to look away, and it doesn’t matter if it’s a real person or a fictional character. It’s even possible that it’s one of the reasons why I like Neopolitan from RWBY, who knows 😅 Oi, I just realized that even in two separate "projects" of mine, one of the main characters in each project has heterochromia... Maybe I'm a little too hung up on this🫤 In real life, I’ve only managed to meet people with different types of heterochromia (complete and central) a couple of times, and I’ve always been captivated by this mysterious and unusual beauty. (Well, for those people, I probably just looked like some kind of weirdo who keeps staring for some reason, even if I occasionally look away so as not to make them too uncomfortable with it😅) Anyway, I wanted to write a song about it, something simple and romantic. Cause lately, I’ve only been putting out topical songs, or something melancholic, or something about writer’s block. So here we are) Hope you enjoy it
