[intro] I don’t believe any deities exist I haven’t seen any good evidence I don’t believe we are born into sin just a stupid story made up by men [verse] A magic man didn’t make the universe That narrative is a damaging curse We adapted slowly and naturally Not by a magic man in a story [chorus] This is the atheist’s hymn No need for god worshipping Life doesn’t have to have a reason And there are no angels or demons When we die, we cease to exist Eternal life’s a story hard to resist [verse] If god existed he should be nice not wanting animal sacrifice He thought lamb’s blood was a sweet aroma A blood thirsty god is a misnomer [bridge] Morals aren’t defined, they’re refined Empathy fuels them where we dwell Not by a fear of an eternal hell Misogyny and slavery are condoned in the book, And Hail Marys shouldn’t get you off the hook [verse] God won’t heal any amputees He doesn’t regrow legs from knees Thoughts and Prayers have no affect God cares not for birth defects [chorus] This is the atheist’s hymn No need for god worshipping Free Will is just an illusion And god beliefs are a Delusion When we die, we cease to exist Eternal life’s a story hard to resist [outro] All Religion leads to separation It creates so much discrimination Watch it divide a whole fucking nation What we need is sweet rationalisation
