The Hollow King

Buried deep beneath the stone, A nameless king, a hollow throne. Cursed to rule, but never die, His soul still walks when empires die. A crown of whispers, forged in pain, A thousand voices call his name. The winds still moan his mournful hymn, ("Rise, Hollow King…) RULE AGAIN!" Crown of shadow, throne of bone, Beneath the sky, I rule alone! Time may break, flesh may fall, But I am king… above them all! From crumbling halls, his steps resound, A silent kingdom, no souls found. The past is dust, yet he remains, A god in ruin, bound in chains. The blade that struck him turned to rust, The hands that crowned him burned to dust. Still he lingers, still he calls, ("Rise, Hollow King…) CURSE THEM ALL!" "No grave will hold, no fire consume… Forever trapped within the tomb." "The flesh is gone, but still he stands, A ghostly hand, a ruler damned."
