This is a fun and provocative song, supporting "I'm still here", a great movie. Really great. Well, there has being some controversy around the other movie dividing the awards, and I don´t intend to make a statement here, but rather transform it to music. Wouldn't it be a better world if we all could do that? Anyway, hope you get the humor of it. I took a small lyrical liberty to sing it as We are still here, instead of I'm still here, which is the correct English name of the movie. ______________________ [interlude: conversational] How was it? And here’s the bad part of it— The French direction is so disrespectful, You understand me? Imagine you’re making a movie about Mexican culture, In the Spanish language, And you don’t even have a native directional team running the show. (fuck that) As I talk about this, the fury inside of me just builds up— Zoey and Selena are great, actually, Zoey looks like leading, not supporting, But the whole concept of exploring a nation’s trauma With no care for its heritage is infuriating.
