A Father's Love

He said, "A man had two sons, and the younger one came, 'Father, give me my share, I’m tired of this name.' So he gathered his wealth, left his family behind, But the world left him empty, with hunger in mind." Lost in the shadows, he fell to his knees, Dreaming of home and the love he had seen. Come back, my son, no matter the cost, Though you were dead, now you’re no longer lost. With open arms, I’ll run to your side, For love doesn’t falter, and grace doesn’t hide. Far from his father, he squandered it all, Till famine and sorrow brought him to the fall. He said, "I’ll return, not as a son, But as a servant, for all I have done." While he was still far, his father did see, And ran through the fields, embracing him free. Come back, my son, no matter the cost, Though you were dead, now you’re no longer lost. With open arms, I’ll run to your side, For love doesn’t falter, and grace doesn’t hide. The older son cried, "Where’s the justice for me? I’ve labored in faith, yet no feast do I see." The father replied, "All I have is yours still, But this brother was lost, and now he’s fulfilled." Come back, my son, no matter the cost, Though you were dead, now you’re no longer lost. With open arms, I’ll run to your side, For love doesn’t falter, and grace doesn’t hide. A father’s love knows no bounds, no end, It waits for the lost, it mends and defends. Through grace we are found, through mercy we rise, In the heart of the Father, love never dies.
