[verse] It's time to start deciding on a theme. Something quite unusual, but clean. Feed me words that I can use, to feed through all my games. And for the next month I will try to use them. [chorus] Picking a theme. It's so hard to be sure. What can I make, and have I done it before. I'm going to try, to use the words that you offer, To make a set of games you can play all day. [break] [verse 2] Give me a phrase that can make a new spark, Something that's wacky, or weird, or quite dark. A single word can set the stage, For all the games that I'm going to make, So give me something fun that I can try. And let's hope that all the elements will fly. [break] [chorus] Picking a theme. It's so hard to be sure. What can I make, and have I done it before. I'm going to try, to use the words that you offer, To make a set of games you can play all day. [break] [bridge] Ideas come in all shapes and sizes, swirling through the vortex in your mind. A flicker, a spark, a thought in your head. Hit the keyboard, and jot down the word that you find. What will emerge from your endless stream of thoughts and dreams, perhaps something quirky to light up my mind, and help create something unique and unusual. A puzzle, a platformer, a digital shakeup? I'll wait for your thoughts, for the words you may send. The moment when all becomes clear, and you post me your words to begin a new process of making the games that I think might just fit. And I hope when I'm done, that you'll like the result. You'll enjoy the new game, and tell all of your friends. Then I'll make some more games, because that's just what I do. Every year, every month, every week, every game. I'll make them for playing. I'll make them for you. [chorus] Picking a theme. It's so hard to be sure. What can I make, and have I done it before. I'm going to try, to use the words that you offer, To make a set of games you can play all day. And every week, they'll start to appear, Every Monday (or Tuesday) throughout the whole year. And though some are tricky, and don't quite work out, I'll continue to write them. Of that there's no doubt. So throw me some words, and let's see where they go. Let's make some new games, where the wonders may flow.
