If I could change this world

If I could change my life he said, I think I’d wish I’d rather be dead. This suffering has gone on for far too long, And now I think there's something wrong. Peace and happiness is all I seek, Am I really such a freak? I bury my head And close my eyes But tears still fall, and so do lies I hoped, somehow, that this would change, But in this world I feel so strange. When Mans aggression has reached this peak For how long my sanity must I keep? In a fleeting glipse of madness, I thought I saw… or was it that I heard that roar? The flash of orange coloured flame, followed by the plague that came. From the East , Or was it West? Then Millions of people laid to rest. I’ve opened my eyes and looked outside. And seen the people trying to hide. They’ve got themselves in quite a state. Worked up people with plenty of hate. If I could change my life, said he, I wonder who would cry for me?
