Gardening Time (Cover)

I went out in my garden, this morning Cause, from my window I could see Hanging from the vine, enticingly My peas, were calling to me And they, were ready for picking Bright green, in all their glory But on the way there, I was sidetracked So, this is my little story. I happened to see my Broccoli Still sitting all forlorn, in its pot The leaves, were ravaged by snails For planted it, I had not! And so, I lovingly watered it I picked off the offending pest Which I quickly dispatched, from my garden Through the air, went the snails sailing west Having now dealt to these sluggards I planted, my Broccoli with care The garden was dry, so I watered it Then noticed the weeds growing there I weeded and potted and planted Moved around the garden with ease Then I went inside for a cuppa Though I still hadn’t, harvested the peas Chorus: Sometimes I get lost in the garden The ambience, sweeps me away I am in another world, in the garden Enjoying nature, out of life’s busy fray My senses awaken in the garden My fingers immersed in the soil The earthy fragrance surrounds me Gardening is all play and no toil.
