When down in the valley Tomorrow will be another day, Tomorrow might be of a clear mind, where today only shadows strike. Tomorrow is not a promise, It is an omen, a curse, it is a threat I'll find myself here again Tonight my mind is weary, my footsteps slow, my eyes are teary. Tonight I can’t remember, The many smiles I've worn in my face, Tonight the mirror lies, When it shows, no loner in a daze, I'm not made of iron, not a crystal that just shatters, and not even a memory remains, But a mighty ally is the morrow, For while I’m aware it might forecast grief and sorrow, -- a clear mind, a new smile from the future I do borrow.
