AGameAWeek Blog - 2024-06-05 - Voice Levels

I'm currently fighting with sound levels. The mix for this week's ALChoon is a little bit off. The vocals don't appear to be quite what I'd like them to be. If I play in my earbuds they sound nice and crisp, but through speakers they're horribly muffled. It's quite odd. I don't think I've had this issue as apparent as this, before. I mean, sure, I'm terrible at mixing things in general, and sometimes you can barely make out the lyrics at all. But usually that's an all-around issue, not something that differs so vastly as it does here. I think I might need to up the volume on the vocals, though it might also help if I move all the notes up an octave or two. Maybe layering extra vocals might help. Today, then, I need to fix that up, and then do the music video. Will it be a lazy VidGen capture? Who can say? Stay tuned to find out!
