An ode to Ben Sheaf
In the theatre of green where battles are clean, A duel unfolds that few have foreseen: Ben Sheaf in the midst, with vigor and vim, Challenging Casemiro, robust and grim. The whistle blows, the crowd's roar swells, In the heart of the pitch, the epic dwells. Sheaf, like a dancer, moves with grace, Stealing the sphere from Casemiro's embrace. Casemiro, a titan, known far and wide, With skills and might he's long applied, Yet on this day, under this light, Sheaf's shadow grows, surprisingly bright. With every touch and every turn, Sheaf schools the master, keen to learn. A twist, a pass, deft and sure, Leaving the titan puzzled, demure. The crowd gasps as Sheaf defies, Turning the game with swift replies. Casemiro’s stride begins to wane, As Sheaf commands the domain. Under the stadium's glowing beam, Sheaf is the poet, the ball his theme. Today he writes with feet so fleet, A tale where giants admit defeat. And when the final whistle blows, Cheers erupt as each fan knows: Though giants may rule with iron fist, Underdogs rise through the midfield mist. In this clash of fire and ice, Ben Sheaf's name echoes, once, then twice. For on this field, he's carved his lore, Outplaying Casemiro, now and forevermore.
